When burning spell candles, please note the following:
Always burn in fire safe containers and away from anything flammable or air drafts.
On first burn, burn candles one hour for every one inch in diameter.
Never burn unattended. Spellwork candles can be unpredictable. Extinguish if flame become excessively large or acts erratically. Keep out of the reach of children and animals.
Never let anything but the wick catch fire. Some spell ingredients may flare as part of the magic but do not let them become secondary wicks.
Candle wicks should be trimmed to ¼ of an inch before burning and trimmed every 1 to 2 hours after. Snuff and rest two hours if wick becomes long or mushrooms at the end. Then trim and relight.
Use a snuffer or spoon to extinguish candles.
